Super nice guy. He really wants everyone to understand and is always willing to answer questions in lecture and in OH. The tests, especially the final, were hard, but the curve was huge. Kinda disorganized in lecture but always gets his point across, and HW really helps you understand.
As the others have stated, the professor himself is great and goes to pretty far lengths to be accessible. However, the course itself is just not well designed. The grading can be tough at times, but I think it's ultimately quite fair due to the partial credit and curve. The lectures were somewhat messy but ultimately digestible.
ECE3 is an extremely poorly designed course (probably ECE department's fault). But despite these inconveniences, Christos clearly tries his best to alleviate the challenging aspects of the class for his students. In addition to his incredibly helpful lectures, he's also very approachable, treating every question asked with a genuine answer.
He is the best professor ever His lectures are pure art
Pure art.
Good enough
The ECE course is really bad. It's a new course and you have to learn something before you have the basic knowledge required for it. But really the one you should blame is department rather than the professor. It's just poor arrangement. It's hard to understand him but he's passionate and the notes he provides are well-organized.
You can surely see the research talent of Prof. Thrampoulidis. He's super nice in OHs. Lecture notes online are amazing. But the course is too EASY in every aspect, exams, homeworks, lectures, etc. Got 100%+ in midterm and final (bonus points). Sometimes you really need to try hard to focus. He needs a bit improvement in teaching, especially pacing
A weird and strong accent, new to the school, better in research than teaching, make students sleep in class, fancy handwriting that takes time to get used to. Be sure to understand notes on GS while it might be better to read notes than attend lectures.
This was a new class and his first quarter teaching so I have a lot of respect for him! His lectures are fairly clear, but his lecture notes online are super helpful. Homework is a bit difficult, but definitely manageable. Hes very willing to help and wants to make sure that everyone understands.
