He is a very good professor, with reasonable course arrangements and easy examinations. If you study hard, you will definitely get a good grade and learn a lot of knowledge.
Honestly one of the top 3 best PSTAT professors at UCSB. Seriously, this guy cares about his students and makes his classes really fair and interesting. He is very accommodating and actually listens to what his students have to say. Incredibly knowledgable and willing to help too. 10/10
Really awesome teacher! Cares about his students, very clear lectures and is very open to students' comments. Best teacher I've had in the PSTAT department so far.
Def one of the best Profs in the stats dept. He cares about his students and he's SUPER fair when it comes to his tests. Usually professors make exams ridiculously difficult with heavy curves, but Giri instead tests on relevant material that is actually easier than HW problems and mostly tests on your understanding of concepts. He really is awesome
Just basically do the homework and come to lecture, study for a decent amount, and clarify and problems on the review you don't understand with the Ta's, and you should earn at least an A- in his class. Pretty straightforward stuff in his 120c, he's a solid choice as a Stats professor.
Great guy and presents the material in a way that students can easily follow. He also posts notes online and tries his best to accommodate students.
His lectures were a little bornig, but he does post all material online so attendance is optional. His tests were fair and he was very clear about what we were being tested on. Really nice guy, would recommend.
Great lecturer and fair exams. Highly recommended!
