10/10 class. Fulfils Area E, NWC and WRT GE. The only real work is to show up to class (30%), and to do the weekly writing questions, which are typically 2-3 questions 250 words each (30%). You don't really have to do any of the reading, and there's no test. There's a research paper, but a C on it equates to an A in the class with all the EC(40%).
prob one of most memorable professors and classes I'll take at UCSB. I was going through a really hard time when I took her class, and she was so flexible with the deadlines with me and genuinely cared about my wellbeing. I'll never forget the kindness she showed me. I found the lectures a bit long and hard to sit through, but grading is generous.
Brilliant lady. Talented lecturer. Cares for students. Definitely take her class.
RG ST 31 is one of the first classes Ive taken at UCSB, and Duoer is literally the best T.A., especially when youre getting used to online learning. Shes super nice, very accessible outside of class, and understands that youre taking the course to LEARN. She doesnt make you feel bad if you dont know an answer, which is obviously a plus. 10/10
She is a really good teacher! I learned a lot from her class. Trust me, you won't regret taking her class. She is a careful person, which means you'd better pay attention to every detail in you paper/media paper. BTW, this class is pretty interesting! Enjoy this class!!!
i was a bit skeptical to take an rg st class since the last rg st class I took was a bore, however professor duoer is one of the best professor I have had at ucsb. she is very kind, well spoken and knowledgeable about east asian culture. attendance is mandatory, small writing assignments every week, one big essay and no final. :)
