Marisa is one of the best instructors I've had at UCSB. It is clear how much she cares about her students and she puts a lot of effort into each activity. I would definitely recommend taking a class with her if you want to have a fun time. I've never taken a THTR class before and this was my last quarter, but she makes me wish I took another.

She treats her classes like toddlers. She grades based off of "what I would do is..." not the work you submitted. Doesn't giver her classes information that the Professor gave to all the TA's. Does not help you so that you are prepared. Is very subjective with grading and shows her opinion of you in your grade.
