Prof. Ding's lectures are dense but informative even though they may be challenging to follow along at times. The projects in this class are very difficult and you're given 2 weeks so make sure to start early and go to the TAs for help. The final and practice final questions were the same. She gave answers to the practice final which was nice!
Lecture is poorly organized. All covered in class are definitions, pseudocodes and trivial examples, and never bother to explain them, while the homeworks are super difficult. Sometimes requires knowledge haven't been covered in class. You'll find much better materials by randomly googling. Expecting every student to do research in this field.
Can barely understand what she's saying. Don't even bother showing up to class, your time is better spent reviewing slides on your own time and figuring out how to do projects. Tests aren't bad, directly relate to slides but projects don't and take soooo long the descriptions are pages long. TA's are trash also so it's all on you to figure it out.
Barely speaks English, but that alone isn't the issue. She tends to talk at you when lecturing instead of explaining. Lectures are important but it's impossible to understand anything she's saying. Communication from the instructors was horrible, they would send out important files/notes the night before an assignment was due.
