The class was difficult and required a lot of time investment. However, the instructor was very responsive and willing to help whenever needed.
This class was pretty hard, especially because there's no prereq in GIS needed. Professor Gidding isn't the best at explaining QGIS, but he was nice enough to extend deadlines for the more difficult assignments. There were 6 labs that were very difficult and time consuming. The final project wasn't bad though.
You really don't need to show up to class at all. The class consists of four papers and the lectures barely help with writing them, and the ones that do help he posts online. He's a nice guy and all but not a very good lecturer
