He is very nice and his projects are super interesting, of course prepare to read and write. Took this course in 2020, it was pretty straightforward and easy since he is super reachable. Pick topics you are passionate about to make things easier.

Nice professor who was very clear on everything. Lectures were interesting and he was very funny and interesting. Very accommodating for his students, and you can tell he cares about his students as well as what he teachers. Great professor, would take the course again.

I took his class in Fall 2020, it was pretty easy. Two bigger writing projects that allowed creative freedom. Supplemental required reading and a few small group projects. He is very understanding and supportive, take his classes if you get a chance!

Loved this class! There was a lotttt of reading, especially difficult reading like Shakespeare etc. However, the lectures help understand the books and the TA's are really helpful. Quite a few essays and the midterm and final have essay components too. Overall, a really awesome class but be prepared for a challenge!

Amazing, funny, respected, knowledgeable professor who was one of the best I have ever had! A lot of reading but at least only 2 essays (besides the short essay on the final). If you stay ahead on the reading it will pay off. Tests are essay and MC. Best lectures I have ever had! Go to every lecture and don't fall behind. Overall great choice!
