Professor Wicke from day one always made sure we felt heard and listened to. Her lectures were interesting to listen to, and while she may go on long-winded ones at times, she always keeps your attention. During COVID, she and the TAs were extremely flexible and understanding. I would totally take another class with her!

Prof Wicke is just a lovely person! She is funny in lectures and super understanding of how stressful covid has been. I have really enjoyed this class and would highly recommend her as a professor. She really cares about her students and wants everyone to get an A. She's super accommodating and clearly passionate about literature. 11/10

Professor Wicke is one of the nicest, most genuine and most caring teachers I've ever had. Even with all the stress and pain caused by COVID and online classes, she was extremely flexible and always was revising the syllabus to better cater to the class. She really does care for our well being first, but her teaching is interesting as well!

I took this class during the Spring 2020 quarantine so idk how much of this applies during a traditional quarter, but Professor Wicke is absolutely lovely & her reading selections were fantastic. I gathered that this was because of the odd quarter, but I found her lectures to be somewhat rambling & disorganized. Overall, a great professor & class.
