ZACKRISON E J
.
He does not know his stuff like he pretends he does, failing to correct himself on an error on a balance sheet that said current assets was higher than total assets, he said it was a tax thing corporate companies do, but it was just an error from the number he copied down. That is some BS, have some honor in your profession.
Zackrison is solid, but he gets quite a few things wrong and refuses to correct himself or admit he is wrong. Nobody really notices anyway. He is fair and good overall
Zackerison is a super engaging lecturer and provides excellent examples and case studies in class. 120 is structured for students to participate and collaborate with one another. Be prepared to work with other students and pray that you get a great team. He brushes over CAPSIM and it's super difficult to understand so be prepared to troubleshoot
Eric is obviously passionate about his course content, yet he presents and organizes assignments in an often disorganized manner, making content more difficult than necessary. I've taken three courses with him, and overall they are easy if you pay attention, follow directions, and have responsible teammates. Paid course packs are mandatory as well.
Eric presented the material in a way more complex than it needed to be. The content of TMP 120 is quite interesting and simple but it felt like he made it unapproachable at times. The grading criteria for the 6 case studies that make up 40% of the grade wasn't very clear. Much of the grade is based on a quarter-long group assignment.
Content is NOT HARD but his vague directions make the class a headache. Talks about financial ratios as if they're rocket science. The reason his students (paraphrasing) "regularly struggle" with these is because he is not a good teacher or test-writer. Poor administrator and not helpful either when you reach out to clarify things with him.
Zackrison was alright for TMP 120. I don't think I would take a course with him again, since most of his assignments had instructions that were just pretty vague and then graded somewhat harshly. Lectures were not too difficult to grasp, but the group project was time consuming. Case studies to read & answer ?s, those were pretty annoying.
Assignments were graded ridiculously hard for no reason, almost never gave A's and instructions were extremely vague. He forces his TA's to grade hard so it doesn't matter who your TA is, he fired one for not grading hard enough once. He has a massive ego and I will NEVER take a class with this man again and I suggest you don't either.
Eric is a great professor. He is engaging during lectures and uses examples to reinforce the concepts that are taught in lecture. The class has 1 big group project, assignments, and 2 quizzes. This class has a medium amount of workload however Eric makes the work easier. Would definitely recommend taking this class with Eric!!!!
Zackrison is a pretty cool professor but he expects you to show up and pay attention. He also doesn't allow electronic devices in class which can be annoying. He's definitely not for everyone, but I found his lectures to be very engaging. The grading is super easy though. If you show up to class and pay attention you are basically guaranteed an A.
