She is to me what Mother Teresa is to earth. Initially, she tried to be strict, but eventually, her true personality came to light. However, even wit her easy-going beginning of the year examples are still held and the classroom was still in order. Her lectures made my day and you have not lived until you received a class from Dr. Leah Fernandez II

Dr. Fernandez is up there with the government greats. In fact, she is like a second mother to me, thanks to her compassionate nature and proficiency in the field of government. In a mere thirty days, I was already entranced in government, thanks to her. My only complaint with this class is that she left us early, which really made me very sad.

Dr. Leah Fernandez is not really that great of a teacher. She is quite annoying sometimes and does weird things in class with unexpected outbursts. She delivered a very disappointing teaaching experieence and never really taught herself, instead made the students ask questions to "teach" the class.

Dr. Fernandez delivered a disappointing teaching experience marked by unclear communication, disorganization, and an unhelpful attitude towards student inquiries. Their inadequate subject knowledge further hindered effective learning. Caution is advised for potential students considering courses under Dr. Fernandez.

Dr. Fernandez displayed poor teaching skills and disinterest in student progress. Communication issues, unclear deadlines, and dismissive behavior marred the learning experience. Their limited subject grasp and disorganization were concerning. Caution is advised before enrolling in their courses.

2 / 2 LeahFernandez'sapproachtoAPUSHissubpar.Sheconsistentlylacks organization, often veering off-topic, making it difficult for students to follow.Theclassroom environment is stifling, not conducive to open discussions or inquiries. Students deserve an educator who equips them for success, not one who hinders their understanding of U.S. history.

Leah Fernandez: Dreadful APUSH teacher. Ineffective lectures, unclear instructions, zero engagement. A year of confusion and frustration. Avoid at all costs!

Leah Fernandez is a horrible teacher who does not respect your time. She is very harsh with attendance, assigns busy work, and cannot teach. I don't even know how she managed to get into a school as she obviously does not know how to teach instead turning any of her classes into a self study period. Don't take her she is not worth the extra credit

Leah Fernandez is a terrible teacher who does not deserve your time and quite frankly should not be teaching. She is very strict with attendance, even watching the clock actively to see whether you are one time or not. She does not teach and instead gives meaningless busy work in order to make it look like she is teaching us something. Terrible!

Hands down one of the worst professors I've ever had. Her lectures offer absolutely nothing of value, grades are based on Wileyplus homework and tests, which are difficult. She seemed to not care at all about the fact that students have lives and hardships outside of her class. Thankfully, she will not be teaching for much longer at UCSB.

Fernandez was not present as a professor, canceled class multiple times because she "didn't feel like teaching" yet was extremely inflexible with attendance and lacks any empathy for students. Direct quote from Fernandez - "I don't care if your grandma dies you show up for class." Grading based on online homework and tests, were straightforward.

Leah is hilarious! She's relatable and caters to her students' level of understanding. Don't let her chill demeanor fool you; she does make you work for your grade and does see when you're distracted in class even if she doesn't tell you. You're going to have to be "that kid" and raise your hand all the time if you want a good participation grade.
