Would not recommend, simply terrible.

You are graded on a page long entry due each class so (2x week), a 6 pg paper, and an online final. In general she was an incompetent professor. She was not knowledgable on the subject that she was teaching, almost 3/4th of the class was watching youtube videos and documentaries, while the other fourth was listening to her read off slides.

You have to do weekly reading and turn in two mini one pagers a week answering two quesitons regarding the reading to make sure you did the reading. There is one paper, no midterm, online timed final. Sometimes she seemed a little unprepared not knowing what to say but other than that she was very kind and tried her best.

FEMST 30 provides a very singular, and radical, feminist viewpoint with no other criticism or even discussion of some very drastic stances. Got a feeling that Laura really doesn't criticize communism as much as she should. In final paper we are asked to bold key words and underline our theses, which was a fun little throwback to the fourth grade.

Easy class. 6 weeks long online, put in about 3-4 hours of work a week.

I regret taking this class. I wanted an honest introduction to the Fem Studies and received and impossible amount of reading and video lectures per week. I feel like this individual actually enjoys having people suffer, even for someone who professes to being a feminist. If you need to take an intro to Feminist Studies, take it with someone else
