LOVED Professor McLemore! Learned a lot about different artwork in her class. Lecture attendance isn't mandatory but the exams are on what she says in class, so you will pass as long as you take notes and attend lectures. Section attendance is mandatory but TAs explain in great detail what was covered in the lecture. She has clear study guides!
Very sweet and accommodative professor. The lectures are a little boring as a non-arthi major. This was my first Arthi class and while I didn't enjoy it too much for the subject, it was clear how much the professor cared about her students.
This professor's lectures are some of the most boring and rambly, I've ever been to. When she talks about art she just uses buzzwords with very little direction. She also assigns way too much readings, work, which ends up piling on too much work for what should be an interesting GE.
speaks in incoherent sentences and seems to be more passionate about students leaving the lecture hall than the material taught
Took ARTHI 6G to fulfill my F category, and highly recommend this course if you want something more chill yet still interesting in your schedule. Lectures were not mandatory, but very informative and interesting. A midterm & a non-cumulative final (both take-home) based on study guides provided + a fun final project were the only major assignments
The content in ARTHI 6G is super interesting and it makes for an engaging (while still pretty easy) GE. Study guides are provided so you know exactly what will be asked of you on exams, which makes them very easy as long as you pay attention. One final project as well but I found it more fun than difficult. Overall a solid course.
This was my 1st upper-div class and it was easier than all my lower-divs. Shorter lectures and not too long readings. 300 word forum posts every week, no tests, and an interesting final project where you make your own art gallery. Highly recommend it for people needing upper-divs.
I think this class was awesome! I'm a bio major and I still enjoyed her teaching and lectures a ton. She is very helpful and super nonjudgmental when giving feedback. I would totally recommend her!
I'm an art history major and loved this class. Even non art history majors will love it. lectures are engaging and in the online format, you don't have section to attend, only weekly forum posts. Prof McLemore is super easy to reach out to and very supportive. Readings aren't too long and final and midterm weren't too bad! No long papers. Take it!
Dr. Mclemore is fantastic! With remote learning she creates a schedule that is very clear to follow. Her directions are extremly direct and easy to follow. If you do all the reading you shouldnt have any issues. The final project is fun and creative. Cant recommend her enough!
I loved this professor! She knows her stuff when it comes to both art and the museum world, shes funny, caring, and always wanted the classes thoughts on what was being taught. Weekly reading question, final project, midterm, and final. The final project was super fun and let students get creative with the subject of museums and history. 10/10.
Professor Mclemore is an amazing professor. Her lectures were a bit slow at times but overall they were interesting. As long as you take good notes, you'll be fine. Attendance is mandatory, she uses this TopHat to take roll and she assigns readings every week. She's hilarious and awesome, loved this class!
