Vena is a great teacher! Just wish this class was in person when I took it.

There were online quizzes every other week and on monday she would post recorded lectures which you have to watch to do the lab. Some of the labs were very long and tedious and by the end of the quarter became writing heavy but overall the content is not very difficult and everything is open note. Her lectures were easy to understand.

This class was really interesting to me. There was one weekly zoom, quiz, and discussion post - very straightforward. Prof Chu was knowledgeable about the subject and encouraged students to share and collaborate with one another. On top of the weekly assignments, there were 4 "big" assignments and a final project. This is a good elective class :)

The lectures given were easy to understand, however if you don't attend class, the powerpoint is confusing but the professor is available for zoom meetings weekly. Quizzes were mostly based on what was in the textbook but you could get by without the book. Overall, a pretty fun class.

There are asynchronous lectures, biweekly quizzes, and a weekly lab. Quizzes are easy and answers were mainly based on lectures. There is a textbook, but I didn't buy it. Make sure to do a good job on labs (worth 70% of grades). Check-in with your TA if you're confused, attend their office hours, etc. They will be grading your labs.

She posts weekly lectures and explains info that you need for section and doing labs. The labs are pretty easy, sometimes confusing and are 70% of your grade. Very easy quizzes every other week. Easy A, my TA was nice and it only met once a week.

I am not good with geography, but the quizzes were easy because they were online and unlimited time. However the assignments were sometimes time consuming, but she did grade easy. Talks very fast!

115B is definitely a lot harder than 115A, but Chu was very kind and helpful all throughout the course. The labs are strenuous, the quizzes are tough, the final was even tougher, but its not to where it's un-doable, just quite stressful. Great professor but get ready for a consuming course.

Professor Chu is very enthusiastic and interactive with her students and it makes a big difference, especially with online class. By the nature of the material, lecture is pretty dense and labs can be very long and frustrating, but it helps to have a professor that cares about students and always takes feedback.

Amazing professor. She really cares about her students and wants you to succeed. Fair tests and the labs are actually really fun and helpful. Had her for 115B and 115C and she was amazing for 115C, so helpful and really guided us with our projects. I wish I could have her again!
