I loved her. She went by super fast during lecture but the material wasnt too difficult with grasp. She posts slides after the lecture day so its easy to follow up on missed points. Shes pretty good at explaining things and tends to give examples and elaborations for us to better understand the concept or term shes talking about
Professor Pardo-Rodriguez was an amazing communicator, she made complex subject material easy to understand, and used great real-world examples of certain geographic concepts. Her lectures were posted online after every lecture, but I highly suggest attending the lectures because a lot of the info. on the tests is largely by her word-of-mouth
Lumari was an amazing professor! She recently received her Ph.D. from UCSB, so she'll be leaving to Colorado for a permanent position over there. So sad to see her go! She seemed to really know what she was talking about and made even the most boring topics pretty interesting. She mentions Puerto Rico, where she's from, a lot. It's interesting tho!
Went to 3 lectures in-person (lectures posted online), Professor Pardo-Rodriguez seems nice. I went by just fine by studying the night before the midterm/final and did well. Recommend going to section since you need turn in your assignments (5 total) and get your new ones. TAs also review the lectures, so that's helpful if you don't go.
Professor seems to barely know what she is talking about and reads everything word-for-word from her slides without explaining topics at all. Gives loads of terms with little description of what they mean or why we're learning them. Clicks through slides way to quickly. However, attendance isn't mandatory (no iClicker).
