Daniel is a very sweet person and clearly cares about teaching. He's always patient with students (even as we butcher the French language) and doesn't chastise if you forget something. He's got a sense of humor and is very clear during lectures (and very available for meeting outside of class if you need additional help). Great instructor!

Prof Tybjerg is a pretty hard grader, but he is really fair. Always easily accessible and enthusiastic about class which made it more fun. Grades were participation in class, 4 compositions, 4 quizzes, an oral exam, and a final paper. I recommend taking him for any French class.

Daniel is super nice, likable, and always goes out of his way to make 100% sure that people understand. I found myself looking forward to class because he was such a good teacher. The most helpful thing in French 1 is doing the homework and you'll know everything that is going on. I highly recommend taking French with Daniel as your TA.
