go go power rangers
Not worth attending this professor's lectures. It's an absolute waste of time. Pretty much all my friends, and I, skipped his class, preferring to instead attend other teacher's lectures or simply not attend at all. How can we do so? Because the online homework Aleks teaches you all you need to know. It was great not to have to attend a class...
Don't let 'his lectures teach nothing' comments fool you. Sure he curves the class so that you could pass even without taking the final, but that doesn't mean getting higher than a C+ will be easy. People say go to CLAS if you want to do better but even the tutors seem pretty hopeless. If you want to do good, hope you had a good AP Chem teacher.
you needed 16% in the class for a C-
Old. Boring. I think this class made me dumber.
Don't bother going to lecture it will be a waste of time. Reading the book is the only chance you will have at passing. The tests are multiple choice and not very easy. If it wasn't for the curve I don't think anyone would be able to pass.
Easy to pass the class, but difficult to get an A. CLAS is a must if you want to do better than a C. Going to lecture is useless, just read the book and take CLAS. Tests are difficult multiple choice.
There is no point of attending the class, i rather read the book and go to CLAS. Thank CLAS. However, his exams are easy, also it was really nice of him to let people pass his class with such a bad score on their exams.I feel he jsut want everyone to pass his class.
It was almost completely pointless to go to class. CLAS did a great job of teaching the material and teaching what he includes on his tests. He isn't very helpful in office hours; he can literally talk for hours with almost no prompting. "Back in the 1960's..."
Horrible professor, best adopted grandpa.
If you want to pass, take Hooker. If you want to learn take someone else!! He's a nice old man and easy to talk to. However he can't teach chemistry well at all. He has a ridiculous curve that makes it impossible to fail.
As far as lectures, forget it. There's nothing to be gained from the slides he reads. The text is solid, concepts are pretty well explained. As long as you do the homework and use his practice tests from his archives on the Chemistry webpage, you should be able to pull of a B.
