This professor has interesting lectures and keeps you engaged. However, his test are challenging, so you need to practice and put in a good amount of studying. Do not be afraid to ask for help, he is very helpful in office hours and he tries to adjust his explanations to make it as easy for each individual to understand. He is a good professor!

Test were difficult and long but fair. Prof Huy was really approachable and caring. His lectures weren't the best but very much passable as long as you do the practice and attend office hours.

Great teacher who really tries to engage everyone. Tests were tough but the class is curved so it doesn't really matter. Great lecturer. Could have been easier to access outside of lecture

He really cares about his students and the ratings here speak to how respected and loved he is. Is the class hard? Yes it is. Will you learn? Yes you will. If you are looking for an easy A in Econ 100B, he may not be your first professor to target. But if you actually want to learn, which I hope is the case, this dude is the best in the econ dep.

Mr. Nguyen is an amazing professor that truly cares about his students. He presents complicated concepts and mathematics in a way that can be easily understood. The material is difficult but he creates funny examples to lighten the mood. If you get the chance, I would definitely take his class and ask questions if anything is unclear.

His class is interesting and intuitional with lots of vivid examples and funny drawing, which helps me understand the materials better. I learned not just simply remember the formulas and cope with the exam, but more with understand how this formula comes from and derived. Though the class is challenging, I learned a lot within one month!!

One of the best professors I've had here at UCSB. He makes the subject enjoyable and really cares about the students. 100b is a really tough class but if you go to class and do the practice exams you'll be fine. 10/10 would recommend

Great instructor! Very funny guy who tries his best to help you with the class. I went to his office hours frequently and he was so helpful. Be warned though. 100B is definitely harder than 10A and one of the hardest classes I ever took! Go to his office hours, ask a lot of questions, do all the practice exams otherwise you won't pass.

Professor Nguyen is a very funny and charismatic guy who uses funny memes! He cares about his students and his exams are relatively fair. Do the practice problems and attend lectures and you will succeed in this class!!
