Absolutely amazing professor. She is kind, caring, knows her topics, and helps you outside the classroom. She incites conversation and debate, participation is key. She grades roughly but gives a lot of feedback to help you understand what she is looking for. Fantastic film choices and she isn't afraid to let the class out super early either.

Petro is one of the greatest professors I've ever had. Her professionalism in her lecture & breadth of knowledge is astounding. Her course was conceptually very challenging, & she doesn't grade easy on reading summaries that can each be worth 10% of your grade. Challenging, but more than worth the work. Definitely have learned an incredible amount.
