Took Intro to Macroevolution over the summer. It was my first UD bio course, so I was expecting it to be more difficult than the intro bio courses. Turned out to be super easy, everything covered in lecture was pretty much on the exams, but they weren't difficult at all, since the material is pretty straightforward.
This was the first class that she taught at UCSB and she did a great job. The class is fun and entertaining, and she does a great job of making something (evolution) that most people think to be boring really exciting. The lectures are straight forward and she has a great personality. If you do the work, you will get a good grade.
I took Joie's first class at UCSB and she was awesome. Super bubbly and her lectures are really understand, so as long as you go to lectures and maybe review the slides a few time, the tests are very straightforward.
