MOKRISKI D A
This class was pretty boring. I was looking forward to discussing philosophy and it was not like that. It wasn't terribky difficult but I am glad it is over. If you are looking to debate, I would take something else.
This class was really easy. No midterms. The final was a paper. Only assignments you needed to do were the papers. Reading the textbook he requires is a waste of time cause he goes over it in lecture. I recommend this class for a GE. He also looks like the lead singer from Tame Impala...
His lectures are review of the readings so not mandatory. He does a great job at explaining the outlines of his papers. Super interesting course too.
His lectures are basically the reading so not too bad. He Grades easily and grading criteria is clear.
He is a great lecturer and explains things really well. Although they're worth 90% of your grade, exams are very reasonable and very similar to the practice ones. I never read the textbook and felt like his slides pretty much taught me everything I needed to know for the final.
My favorite professor this quarter. He's pretty funny and explains things in a really understandable way. Exams are exactly like the practice ones he provides which is pretty fair considering that's your entire grade. He appreciates participation, even if you get it wrong he'll try and understand your perspective and work with you from there.
Lectures were so boring and not mandatory. Easy class if you can get through the lectures. Two essays made up the grade that weren't hard and if you meet with TA they'll give you feedback pretty much guaranteeing an A
David was overall pretty easy! There was a textbook, which he provided on Canvas. There are 3 essays total and I only read the parts of the textbook that pertained to my essay. He was always open to questions and made lectures interesting to listen.
Grade based on three take-home essays and section participation. Lectures were easy to follow, very understandable, and he was always open to questions & gave very thorough answers. His ability to answer every question thrown at him was impressive! Reading material was provided to students, but lectures did a great job explaining things. Attend OH!
Though attendance isn't mandatory, 100% go to lectures because all you need to know is clearly outlined each class. There are three take-home papers we wrote in total, the last one counting as our "final". The professor was very fair with his deadlines, so I never found myself too stressed. The lectures are relatively easy to follow, just attend.
lecture was not mandatory and pretty easy to follow but i suggest actually doing the reading since some of the material is difficult/complicated. i found the class really interesting though and overall really enjoyed it. also he looks and sounds exactly like noah kahan its freaky
interesting class, but way harder than advertised/expected. formal proofs make up a large portion of the class, and it almost seems more "coding/math-based" than philosophy-based. definitely not an easy GE
