Dipali was my first writing professor that I had at UCSB as a first year. Her course was a very easy A and I would consider myself an average writer. I was placed in her class after taking the writing placement test and I expected to be slammed with work and essays, but it's just 2 5-8 essays, 1 small essay, and a couple of simple outlines.

dipali's great! she grades easily and is super accommodating. I turned in a few assignments many days late and she was so understanding when I emailed her about my situation. the curriculum was interesting too! super sweet woman and id definitely take another class with her. only downside is that the feedback for essays isn't too specific.

Professor Murti-Hali is one of the best! Her lectures are helpful and specific. Great layout of class and assignments are easy to follow. Definitely need to work on assignments but with effort, grading is lenient. She is very sweet and helpful. Always open to questions and seems to really care about her students. 100% recommend.

She requires a lot of group work and is a really tough grader, I kept losing points for minimal non-content things on assignments like line spacing. She teaches directly off of the PowerPoint slides which are posted online. She cancelled class a couple times and tried to post online lectures that didn't end up working. Overall easy class though.
