Professor Park is an amazing professor. She is so engaging and her lectures are always eye-opening. As an English major, yes, the neuroscience content was difficult to grasp at first but definitely doable. Study for midterm, go to lecture, and take really good notes. Highly recommend this class.

Dr. Park is a gem of a professor and a human being. She cares so deeply, provides thought provoking material, as well as the space to deal with it in. This class can be what you make it, you'll probably pass with minimal work but thats just doing yourself a disservice. Go to her office hours!! Engage with the material and bring your own questions!!

Amazing professor! She definitely cares so much about this topic and this class and I found it really enlightening to learn from her. Class is based on test midterm, final essay, and participation, all easy to achieve good scores on if you do the work. Midterm is all covered in the quizlet that gets passed around so isn't too bad. So captivating!

Choose a good TA, just the important thing for this class.

ENGL171NH was a super interesting course imo. Dr. Park made the material easier to understand and I definitely learned a lot through the class. Also, the midterm was not too hard (there is room to get a few wrong and still get 100%) and the final was pretty interesting to write

Super sweet and passionate lecturer. The class was extremely interesting. She clearly knew what she was talking about and did her best to explain some complex concepts. Grade is based on attendance, neuroanatomy midterm, and a final paper. I'd love to take another of her classes if offered!

Loved this course. Professor Park is very knowledgeable and made this class extremely interesting. One midterm, one final paper, attendance and section mandatory. Very nicely curved, 82 is an A in the course. Material was very interesting. Definitely would recommend taking.

Easily the best professor ever!! She is awesome because you actually learn and gain real insights. Please bring back the kpop classes. I miss it so much :(

Neurohumanism was an overall amazing class. The content itself was intriguing and professor Park is an incredible lecturer. The grade comes from attendance, midterm, and an essay. The material is quite dense, but the grading curve is *very* generous so there is room for error on the midterm and essay though neither are too hard if you study well

European Modernism. Lengthy, deep lectures once a week. Grades on midterm debate and final paper were hidden to students. Textbooks included a handful of short, inexpensive paperback poem books. Class inspired me to read and write more.

Literature and the Human Mind. So worth taking. Grade determined by 3 grades (attendance, midterm, final paper). The grading scale is quite generous, but the subject matter is difficult. Favorite professor at UCSB thus far.

DONT TAKE THIS CLASS! idk why this class is categorized as an English class considering it was heavily science-based. the midterm wasn’t an essay; it was a written exam on the anatomy system;which there was hardly any guidance on how to study for it. It’s an interesting subject but poorly led. I would have hated it more if not for my TA.
