Wei is very passionate about differential geometry. Although she is old-school and handwrites her notes instead of using slides, her lectures are extremely well structured, with a clear progression from definitions to propositions to theorems. She really knows the content and summarize the textbook well. Overall, she is an excellent professor.
totally bad
Prof isn't that bad at all, idk why other reviews are so harsh. Use TA sections and go to lectures because lectures have useful information and proofs (if you have a strong grasp on algebra and basic calc). During lectures, she was very open to pausing lecture to answer questions and working through questions on a board was helpful. Not bad at all.
Honestly not that bad of a professor. The class felt fair, but the lectures were kinda mid. Tests were also very similar to the practice material and had clear expectations, the only difficult parts were solving integrals to be honest (still not that bad).
Honestly not bad, the reviews are a little harsh. Had her for Math 4B as a computer engineering major. and her exams were pretty reasonable as compared to the homework (which is actually great practice). Her lectures don't move "fast," per se, but they expect you to have a strong grasp on Calc I and II as well as general algebra.
Professor Wei moves very fast during lectures, addressing many topics per day with little explanation or elaboration for understanding. Though she is a very passionate teacher, it is difficult to learn during her lectures, so be sure to make good use of TAs. I also found the campus CLAS resources to be a life saver for this course-highly recommend!
