This guy is awesome. Makes writing actually kinda fun, and provides very specific feedback on papers. He also always cracks jokes and encourages you to engage. If you ask him to play his guitar for you, he'll probably do it.
He's very nice and approachable with his own quirky sense of humor. Overall I would say the course itself demands a lot of work, but his assignments build toward your larger papers, so the essays are manageable as long as you don't procrastinate. It helps to participate in class and to go to his office hours to improve your drafts before submission
Professor Speiser is a very kind and approachable professor. He makes dry topics fun with his hilarious style of lecturing. He grades papers fairly easily while still ensuring that the lesson is learned. At times, it can take a while to get papers back. Reading is not necessary but is helpful. In class activities make the class bearable.
Super nice guy, you need to participate
