Very entertaining lecture. More interactive focused and less note-taking. A fun lecture to go with low-stress tests and you walk away with a basic understanding of music theory.

Luke (he goes by that) is a pretty chill teacher. He has a fun British accent and made attending lectures and learning about music theory fun. I may be biased b/c I have a background in music, but concepts were very easy, and I learned a lot. His book is helpful, explains things in depth, like his lectures. Extra credit for finding typos!

Best class ever. Lots of homework and composition assignments, but you actually walk away understanding music theory. We had class at 8am 3x/week, but i always wanted to go. Luke is incredibly entertaining and you actually engage with the material during lecture. Do yourself a huge favor and take MUS 11 with him. Try to get Emma as a TA if you can.
