Johnson was the best prof I've ever had. She is hilarious and loves to get to know her class. Loved going to her lectures. Interesting readings. Graded on the easier side. I was never confident in my writing until I took her class. Sad she won't be at SB to teach Writ2.

Dr. J is great! Writing 1 was the first writing course I took in UCSB, and Dr. J really helped me a lot. She gave detailed feedback so that I could know how to improve my writing skills. It's a pity that I cannot take Writing 2 with her.

She is honestly the best professor I have ever had. She was super easy to get a hold of through email and in person. She takes the time to look over your work before you turn it in, if you ask her to. Overall, she is a great teacher and I am sad that she will no longer be at UCSB

She was nice and an easy grader, but ultimately did not teach us anything we didnt already know. Ive taken other writing courses, and I would recommend you to take other professors besides her if you really wanted to grow as a writer.

Dr. J is amazing! Not only is she clearly very intelligent and qualified for the job but she is personable, understanding, humorous, and kind. She is very happy to help students and is clear about her expectations for the class. Would absolutely recommend her. UCSB is very lucky to have her teaching here!

BEST TEACHER EVER! Taking writing with Docta J was one of the best experiences ever. She's an amazing professor who truly cares about her students and wants everyone to do well. She is also hilarious without even trying to be and has taught me more in one week than some of my other professors taught me all quarter.
