Really enjoyed prof. Molinari's lectures. He was super clear in explaining steps and went as slow as we needed. Tests were very fair and he was very responsive to emails and office hours. Definitely recommend him!
Very easy in general. Do the homework, lab homework is not necessary. Tests were very fair, and most to all questions were covered in class the lecture before the test or the study guide. Professor is great. Also book is not required.
Class attendance is graded by iClickers and section participation is graded through your top two quiz grades. Tests are pretty easy, all you need to do is know how to use the given formula sheet. He's got pretty funny iClicker answers, and in office hours he's also fun to talk to while getting help, and it made stats suck considerably less.
No graphing calculators were allowed. If you are ready to work and are okay at math then it won't be too hard, but if you don't go to section (which isn't manditory) and don't do the homework then it will be very hard. Lecture isn't mandatory and it's boring but it is helpful.
He's an amazing professor , cares about whether or not students pass his class, and takes responsibility for his mistakes. The midterms and final were straight from lecture and study guides.
Professor Molinari is my favorite professor that I've had at UCSB(I'm a second year). I'm not a stats/math/econ major, but this class has easily been one of my favorite here. The professor is extremely caring, very reasonable, and everything tested comes straight out of his lectures. Prob. one of the only classes I ever actually wanted to go to
