Maria Ines is a great professor! She allows you to do corrections on your written assignments to get the better grade. She also is super helpful in office hours. This class was a hybrid course so I had class 3x a week and homework online almost every day. If you miss more than 3 classes she reduces your final grade by however many absences you had

Amazing teacher. So blessed to have had her. She made class fun and easy to understand. Was the reason I chose to major in Spanish. Best instructor in the 3 years at UCSB. Take her classes if you get the chance!

Loved Maria, she is one of my favorite professors and I would definitely take her class again. No midterm but a couple papers and a final. She is so nice and an excellent professor. Work load isnt heavy but there is homework everyday.

Maria Ines is the sweetest professor I've encountered at UCSB! Easy grader, really funny, makes class enjoyable. 3 tests, 3 really short & easy papers (lets you edit them with the corrections she made to get full points on each one), and a final exam. Can be a little unclear when explaining grammar but office hours help a lot!!
