Professor Ballerini is awesome! She's very funny and her class is actually enjoyable. She's straight forward about what she wants in assignments/exams so read questions carefully. She's always available during office hours and is super helpful. She wants you to actually learn so she doesn't just make the class very hard for no reason. Take her!
She is cool. But she came up with everything about this class last minute. She gave a huge load of busy work and grades incredibly hard. Also doesnt really care about your excuses. Can easily get side tracked. Would not recommend to take.
Dr. Ballerini is a considerate and funny professor. Good amount of group projects in the beginning. It is a pretty consistent amount of work throughout the semester. You typically have a module (videos + assignments), lab activity, and quiz due each week. As long as you do all the assignments you should pass.
Dr. B is nice, smart and funny. Class was easy. Mostly online with 1x/week lab. Time management is key for this course. The stats part was so fun but the writing was meh (The online stuff is made other staff at CSUS). Shes super helpful and easy to talk to so go to office hours if you need help. Dont be late. There may be a quiz.
Great Prof! Friendly, cool, and wants you to do well. Easy class overall, easy A if you aim for it! Glad I took it with her and would for sure take another class with her in the future.
Bio 100 is easy since they reworked it. Ballerini is chill, not much work in this class. All the same, i would take ballerini though.
She really understands what students have trouble with and how to best help them learn certain difficult topics. In addition she is very approachable and is extremely knowledgeable about her field which leads to really interesting academic conversation. Class itself is easy, and is all report based - which she provides clear criteria for grading.
Good: Lectures are clear + easy to understand. She's also extremely helpful in office hours, as she will basically give you a personal tutoring session. Bad: Teaches too much material and only about 50% of what you learn is actually tested on. Tests are also tricky -- read carefully and think critically. Many concepts can apply to one example.
Her lectures had so many pictures, graphs, and diagrams that are difficult to understand if you don't go to class. Specific examples from lecture are not on the exams directly, but the concepts are. No need to memorize everything on the slides as long as you *really get the concepts. She is hard to follow during lectures and re-uses lecture slides.
