Provided a brief recap of the week's material as well as any concepts we were confused on. Gave useful paper advice, including example arguments and analysis. Also provided good feedback on my papers. However, he responded rather quickly to questions so it was hard to write down everything he said. Overall, a lenient grader and a helpful TA!

Probably the best professor I've ever had for an English class at UCSB. Super interesting reading material, and the majority of the workload was just doing the assigned readings. A really fun class, if you have the chance to take an english course with Chip I would highly encourage you to do so.

Really liked his enthusiasm towards teaching and the subject matter. Was not a fan of the reading choices.
