One of the coolest classes ive taken here. 10/10.

Max is the best! I took Music 17 and the content is super interesting and Max makes the lectures very valuable. There is also no midterm or final exam, your grade is based on quizzes every 2 weeks, 1 concert report, and 1 final paper. I would highly recommend this class as it is a very fun way to fulfill an arts credit.

could bs during quizzes and get points. papers are easily graded by some of the ta's

Mus 114 should be a very interesting course but Max made it boring and hard to pass. He did give extra credit for presentation overall he's a tough grader. Prepare to read a loooooooooot for the section tho. I took this course with Max in summer and I had 3 papers and 5 reading summaries and 5 pop quizzes, so...

This class was okay. Not as good as I was hoping. 2 papers and no tests but there were 5 pop quizzes to make sure you paid attention in lecture. Lectures were long but interesting. Max was always available through email and office hours and willing to read over your papers. Lots of reading for section.
