Corey is easily the best teacher at UCSB. He lectures in a masterful, concise, and clear way and is very fair with grading/exams. He always welcomes questions from students and takes the time to genuinely answer each question before moving on in the material. You likely won't find a teacher who is as good at explaining difficult concepts as Corey.

Corey is by far the best PhD candidate teaching 140 right now. He's very clear-cut in his grading criteria. Always welcomes students with inquiring minds and questions. I dreaded taking 140 before this class, but Corey made it much easier for me. Put in the genuine effort, which this class requires, and one should get a good grade.

Very clear and open for questions when he knows a topic is confusing. The material can be challenging, but if you work hard you can do decently. Iclicker points make attendance mandatory, homework is for completion only, there are 4 group projects, and he provides practice exams that prepare you for quizzes and finals.
