very scattered, nonlinear lectures. overall pretty interesting material, but i would not take this class again. putting the pieces together from different lecture was very challenging
The lectures were confusing because he is terrible at making power points and introduces a lot of names for things in Greek, Latin, etc. Pay attention to the key names, Google them, and you'll do fine on the test. He is a big fan of in- class discussions of readings. I thought he was an easy A despite missing 5 or 6 classeslectures
The first half of the quarter was nearly impossible because his lecture style isn't linear so he's hard to follow most of the time and he asked really specific questions from the reading on the midterm. After everyone bombed the midterm, he lightened up though and his lectures became easier to follow. The reading is the main source of all tests.
