An outstanding professor! Took this class the first quarter of my Freshman year and felt like it was a great intro class to take. Crispin-Peralta lectures in a way that is clear, informational, organized, and quite calming. Make sure to show up to EVERY lecture and do the reading if you feel confused about a certain topic or event.
Crispin-Peralta was one of the nicest professors I've ever had. She is so easily approachable and I loved going in to talk with her at office hours. Her class is very clear-cut in what she expects from her students. Textbook not mandatory but very helpful. I loved how she told history through anecdotes.

I absolutely loved Crispin-Peralta and this early US history course. Her lectures were very concise and were told more like a story which I loved! She is very into Native American history and it's evident in her lectures. More social/cultural history than political/econ. 2 simple papers, 1 midterm, 1 final. Would definitely recommend. 10/10.
Very good professor. Very clear about what she wants you to know. 2 paper which had pretty easy topics, but one was based entirely on a Salem witch hunt book. All MC midterm and a MC and 1 essay final. As long as you use the study guide and go to lecture you should be fine.
VCP is a great. She lectures in a way that is super easy to understand. She doesn't put her slides online, so you must always attend lecture. The midterm and final are both very easy to study for, as long as you put in the time. She gives you a study guide with everything you need. Quite a lot of writing involved for section, about a page a week.
