Dr. Watkins is one of my favorite professors that I have had at UCSB thus far!! She is a very good lecturer and is very sweet to talk to and makes a great mentor!! I loved having her and I can't wait to take another class with her!!

Watkins does a great job making FEM20 interesting and applicable to real life. The midterm and final are open book and open notes, but you will only have time to do well if you have been going to all of the lectures and have an idea of what the readings are about. Definitely an interesting class, and really easy if you know how to BS writing.

She's a really nice funny person who is genuinely interested in feminism. It is a writing class so there is a paper but the book it's about is not bad. There are weekly readings that are important but they're usually pretty short and interesting. Good class, regardless of the professor it would still probably be good to take

Professor Watkins is my favorite professor I've ever had. The class is so interesting and she's hilarious. Highly recommend. Midterm and final are an essay and some short answer.

Life changing professor. She is literally the best. If she's teaching any class, TAKE IT!!

She is a very funny professor and makes the class interesting, but she likes to have a lot of guest speakers which gets annoying sometimes because I like it when she teaches the class. Theres a short essay required every week, a huge essay thats about 8 pages, and the exams are in essay form. Definitely not an easy A class, need to work for it.
