She's a nice person, approachable during office hours, and clear during lectures, however, her tests are super hard, due to incredible details! Be prepared to read and MEMORIZE every SINGLE slide to be prepared for the exams!! She does not focus on one thing, introduces you to everything and expects you to know ALL of it for exams! NOT take again

La Guardia was not helpful or empathetic of the time and effort students put into her class. She knew her material, but presented it in a way that came across condescending and belittling. I would not recommend this professor. Not today, not tomorrow, not any day.

Unfortunately the only professor teaching the advanced lab was la guardia and the class was horrible. Tons of studying for mediocre grades, very time consuming assignments for little credit, and lecture was useless. This course should be worth seven units when L.G. teaches it to make up for stress and time lost. Did not learn much from this class.

Tough professor who flies by in lecture slides. Be prepared to have the lectures printed and ready to be written on for better note-taking. Tests are difficult if you don't thoroughly review EVERY SINGLE SLIDE. Make sure to review tutorial worksheets a FEW HOURS before your exam. Lovely lady, Hard Professor.

I would take any course offered by her. Her lecture style is my favorite! She keeps me interested the whole way through. Her tests are 100000% fair (not easy) but A's and B's are completely possible. Print the powerpoints for lecture and you are golden. Go over them in detail and you're set for success. Don't let all this negativity fool you! vvv

The tests are fair. Go over the lecture slides and you'll be solid on the multiple choice. There are a few pages of short answer that are mostly application questions. She'll usually drop hints on what will be on the test. Group project: create an experiment, present it as a poster, write an individual 12-20 page paper on it.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! She is by far the WORST professor I have ever had. This class is like three classes in one. Get ready to come up with a research project (she changed our proposed study three times...), novel of a research paper, assignments galore, and REALLY HARD tests (I studied so much and barely passed. A majority of the class failed).

Worst professor I've ever had. She is SO rude and her lectures are the worst. Her tests are stupidly hard and she tries to trick you. Luckily there are easy online assignments to help make up for your crappy test scores. Don't ever take a class with her unless you absolutely have to. Avoid her at all costs.

The worst professor I have had. I work really hard in every class, but the way that La Guardia judges you and grades you makes any amount of studying useless. She will tear you apart. You will get 0 credit on short answers in which you perhaps phrased one thing differently than she would have despite clearly demonstrating your understanding. Don't.

Don't take this class! Extremely unorganized and poorly set up. It seemed like she was more interested in talking about her researchcareer than helping us learn about the material. The quizzes are written in a way that tries to trick you, and are around 25 questions. She was rude in class to the students and even to the co-teacher sometimes.

Such a rude teacher. Belittles students in lecture and office hours. Quizzes are written terribly. They are vague and are more focused on tricking you than testing your actual knowledge. Lectures do not coincide with quizzes. I would recommend waiting until the teachers get the course more organized, or taking a different lab completely.

I feel compelled by love to warn you guys against this class. It was the trial run of the class and it was a trial by fire. I would recommend waiting til at least Spring quarter to see if they work out some of the kinks. If not, be prepared for tedious readings, elusive quiz questions, and a lot of authoritarian criticism. Fly you fools...
