I thought the class was interesting and the films were fun to watch as well. Two 8-page essays and one 10-page final all of which are pretty easy and mandatory lectures which are helpful for essays. Good class would recommend.

I thought the class topic was very interesting. we had three papers which were not too difficult because we analyzed an entire book. Attendance was mandatory but I did mind it. She provided good notes to use for papers and she is really nice. I enjoyed the class and plan on taking a class with her in spring.

I think she lectured maybe 1/4 of the classes--the other times we had group presentations (which were the worst) or watched documentaries. However, her lectures were boring so I guess we didn't miss out too much. She means well and takes interest in the material, but her style is a little dry and I think she'll improve over time.

BORING lectures! She just rambles and tries to get students to participate and discuss the readings. 3 books which you critically analyze two. Two 8-page papers, one 10-page final, group presentation. Takes attendance each class. Watch a lot of movies that are boring. Overall a boring class, but an easy B.

She means well, but this class was among the worst I've taken. 2 papers (analyses of books we read) plus a final paper based on 2 movies. Paper guidelines were unclear; grading forgiving. Mandatory attendance. All we did is watch movies and attempt to discuss readings, AKA awkward silences followed by long-winded preaching. Do not recommend.
