If you don't do the readings, go to class-- and vice versa. He copies excerpts from them and pastes them onto his lecture slides, and proceeds to just read off of them for the entirety of the class. He's a good guy, but just not a great lecturer. This class was taught in conjunction with another prof and I preferred her weeks over Prof. Tu.

The lectures are a total bore, there are way too many words and he reads completely off of the slides and is hard to understand, but if you go back and reread the material it makes a ton of sense and is interesting. Midterm and final are straightforward and easy to nail if you understand the depths of the material.

Does not posts grades on Gauchospace and reads off Powerpoint.
