I'm really not sure how he has such high ratings. It's true that he wants students to pass, and he does seem like a nice guy and all, but this guy is not a good lecturer. I'm an overachiever and even I had to fight to stay awake in his class; so many "ums" and he never seemed to be able to answer questions very well (and there were plenty).

Okay, Jaeggi is really passionate I will give him that. BUT there is a lot of work that you are given in the course. You have 5 "My Primate Questions" that require a lot of research to answer the specific questions he asks. But on top of the 5 questions, you have a HUGE paper and a final thats worth a lot of your grade. Makes you work hard.

Jaeggi is one of those rare professors who genuinely seems like he wants everyone to succeed. You can tell he loves what he teaches, and is just an all-around awesome guy.

Jaeggi is an incredibly passionate professor whos love for primates is obvious. His class is fast paced but he will go above and beyond to help you. For this course there was a take home midterm, 4 short homeworks and one in class final with notes allowed. If you're an ANTH major definitely take any of his courses!
