Julissa is great, muy simpatica, muy chistosa
Julissa... what can I say, she is the reason I love coming to class. She is very clear and helpful and she genuinely wants us to fall in love with the language.. but personally I'm struggling to not fall for this mujer perfecta. You will be lucky if you get to spend 4 days a week with her. Smart, sweet, and muy guapa!!!
Julie is such an awesome professor. She takes the time and effort in order for you to be successful in her class. If needed she provides outside help but you have to reach out to her in order to receive that help. But Julie cares about all her students and really loves when you participate. Would 100% recommend taking her class
Speaks too fast. Not funny at all. It's really hard to ask for her help outside class. She's never available.
Julie is one of my favorite professors at UCSB. She's sweet, super understanding, entertaining, and relates to students really well. It's obvious she really cares and wants to help her students, and I would definitely take a Spanish class from her again. Participation/attendance and homework is absolutely necessary.
Not very organized.
She gives a lot of homework online but that is my only complaint. She is very nice and goes over material well. Im not sure why others have called her rude, maybe their classes werent respectful to her so they were on her bad sad. She helps as much as she can and never makes students feel dumb for answering wrong.
Very helpful especially with essays which are a good chunk of grade! Good sense of humor and helps any way she can and will respond to email quickly. Oh and she is incredibly gorgeous. Tests are made by department not her so sometime they can be hard.
She is a perfect human. She is the nicest person ever, helps you with everything if you can her too and adorable. I did not study hard or pay attention in class and got a B. But that's because the class is not curved at all. If you can take her do it. She is the reason I went to class.
She is one of the greatest Spanish teachers at UCSB. Her class is very fun and laid back. She has a great sense of humor and she is beyond helpful. Tests aren't difficult but they tend to be long. That's not her fault though the spanish department makes them. All in all, I give her class 2 thumbs up!
Julie is absolutely amazing! I completely disagree with the comment below that says she talks too fast for students to comprehend. Julie is very considerate and if you ask her to slow down or ask her to clarify what she is saying she will do so. I highly recommend her classes for anyone who is interested in learning Spanish.
Very helpful, clear when speaking, and lenient grader about minute errors. Not to mention she's gorgeous!
