Prof Maillard is by far the best teacher I have ever had and this course was by far the most interesting one. Unfortunately, she is leaving. Don't know how the course will continue without her. Won't be an easy task to find anotherProf Maillard.

I literally love Prof Maillard! I took two first-year classes and one second-year with her. This quarter, I had her for Business French. She is one of those rare professors who are professional, inspirational, passionate, fun and caring. Her teaching style is very interactive and based on discussions and critical thinking. All in French, of course!

Great course. You learn a lot and as said previously, all you do is applicable to the real world. We did a lot of "real situation" acting like a Job interview in French after we designed our resume. I enjoyed this class a lot and Professeure Maillard will push you hard. Also it is not a lecture so, you have to participate!

Business French has not only been the most fun and interesting french course I've taken at UCSB but I also feel as though I've gotten the most out of it. As a graduating senior entering "the real world" these assignments were extremely helpful and applicable to my life now! Professor Maillard is doing an excellent job! Highly recommended!

The two parts - 104E and 104F - of Business French were by far ones of the most interesting French classes I took at UCSB. Prof Maillard made us invent a product and present to the class. This was a memorable experience for my friend and me. I really like Prof Maillard as a person and a professor. Take this class if you can. You won't regret it.

She is good about clarifying concepts after class or in office hours, she wants you to do well. Attendance is required but she is pretty understanding, if you have a reason to miss class she'll give you points back. Almost all of her lectures are in french, but the textbook explains everything in English so its easy to follow. Overall great prof!
