Amber is an incredibly resourceful & helpful professor. She is very knowledgeable and loves what she does. The comments below reflect more on the students than of the professor because she was always available to meet, gave notice of the portfolio (with a lot of time), and was very clear and direct. Her course was simple: read + participate = A.

The name of the course was "Indigenous Performance" and the content was clearly stated on the syllabus. If you don't understand how gender & race is related then you should take a lower-div fem class & figure it out. Amber was really knowledgeable & resourceful. This was a very hands on course & the material was interesting.

Dont waste your time. I signed up for a gender and culture course and learned about Chicano studies/Native Americans. She is all over the place. She changes the material constantly and is not organized. Easy assignments but she is not a fair grader. Take someone else who actually knows what they are doing.

By far the worst professor I have ever had! Was excited to take a fem class, but she changed the entire subject to indigenous people. She is not clear on instructions for midterm take home essay yet is incredibly knit picky when grading. Also she switched the group presentation last minute to a portfolio. DO NOT TAKE HER!
