Take somebody else if you can. Does a poor job of clarifying topics. Basically just reads definitions of terms. "quizzes" are too much information for the time she gives. You would think that a psychology professor would understand that timed tests influence anxiety. Also, talks in a condescending tone .
Surprised by all the negative comments. Took her over summer '14. She is a grad student. I enjoyed the class. I found her to be warm and she genuinely seemed to care about the students. The class wasn't easy but wasn't overly difficult. I graduated but if I were there still I wouldn't be opposed to taking her again.
She is terrible. She tries too hard and will stop her lecture to call you out if you are talking in class. The lectures are boring and she makes her tests unnecessarily difficult for rather easy material. I overheard her and the TA gossiping about students after class. I would not recommend taking her course at all.
I liked her class. As a NEWLY transfer student I found her very helpful. She wasn't hard at all if you listened and read the book. She always helped me when I went to office hours. Powerpoints were wordy though.
Professor communicated poorly with students and TAs, her communications to students ranging from merely condescending to vicious. She was consistently late to class. Her slides were excessively wordy, read almost directly, and contained numerous typos, including factual errors on test material.
