Professor Daniels is by far one of the best professors I've ever had at UCSB. Extremely passionate and insightful. Gives a fair amount of reading but structures his exams so that you can write to your strengths. He always gives constructive feedback. The class is challenging, but if you go to lecture and read you will succeed.

Dr. Daniels is very passionate about the subject and really engages the students. He gives very thoughtful feedback on your work and grades fairly.
Professor Daniels is an excellent lecturer. Even though the class was at 8am I was always looked forward to lecture because he made the lectures interesting. Don't take this class if you're looking for an easy A but if you want to learn a lot about ancient history from a passionate professor, take it.
