super funny guy- always a laugh in lecture. great accent too! kinda fast but posted lecture slides online. midterm, paper, and cumulative final. very entertaining- I loved everything about this class except for my TA who was a SUPER HARD grader (used a GPA grading scale??) would definitely take again- one of my all time favorite teachers!

he's a good lecturer! quirky sense of humor and tries to entertain the class. the material is great for an intro class, and the tests are really fair - just make sure to review the slides well!

Winterbottom is an excellent lecturer. He explains ethical philosophy very clearly and is very good about answering questions in lecture. He reviews concepts several times and buttresses it with a good amount of examples. The book is "mandatory" but I did just fine without ever opening it. Lectures are 75 minutes long, so do your best to stay away!

Great Professor. Clear and precise. Keeps the lectures interesting by cracking a joke every now and then. The lectures were interesting too. Truly enjoyed reading the articles that were assigned.

His class feels "easy" only because he is one of the few professors who still actually teaches. Very funny and animated! I enjoy taking his classes

FUNNY/ENTERTAINING PROFESSOR. This class is honestly not hard. Don't do the readings just skim the examples/cases before midterm. There is 1 midterm, 1 paper and a final (optional due to events in IV). Midterm is easy just memorize the theories and examples. Also he flips a coin after each lecture so 50/50 chance of having a quiz after each class.

Very good professor! Keeps lecture interesting. Moves super fast through the slides, so I recommend taking your laptop if you type fast. I read about 3 of the readings and I got an A. The midterm is straightforward if you memorize and go to class. If you take Phil 4, take it with him! Final was optional, but could have been due to recent events...

he is simply AMAZING! favorite professor by far. all of the readings and slides are online. daily quizzes are easy and the best part is that the final is optional!

He is amazing! I hardly did reading, went to lecture and understood the material easily. He explains material well and makes corny jokes from time to time. Lecture slides are available online which help with studying. However, I found section to be extremely boring. Only time I opened the book was to write my paper.

You need to go to the lectures because he only gives out skeleton notes that you fill in during the class. The material is fairly challenging but I thought the class was graded easily. There is a lot of reading though although he seems to know that not everyone does it. He is a very nice and helpful professor.
