Kyle was helpful in every way, readily available by email, free to talk after class, and accommodatingcompassionate when there were any personal matters interfering with a students ability to perform well in the class. Probably one of my favorite classes because he really helped me develop as a writer and listener! Wish there was more room :)

Very nice and personable guy. The writing assignments are straightforward and you should do well in the class if you follow the guidelines and take the time to do a good job. One of the best teachers I've encountered at UCSB thus far!

Kyle is one of the best professors in the English department. He articulates himself so well that you think he'd been teaching forever but before the quarter ends I find out that this was his first class he ever taught at UCSB and I'm left stunned at how he hasn't been given the chance to teach more. I hope I have the pleasure of taking him again.
