The projects he assign are very difficult, but it's pretty easy to get a good grade in his class, because of the submit.cs system. He gives clear instructions, and is very reasonable about grades and assignments in general. Take his class if you want a challenge, and learn a lot about CS.

Pretty great guy overall. His projects were pretty fun and interesting. They were definitely a challenge, but not impossible. Lectures went a bit quickly, but I had him in a cramped 6 week summer quarter and this was his first time teaching. He grades pretty leniently and I felt like I learned a lot. I would recommend him.
