Great professor. Easily my favorite class of the semester.

I'd recommend any other professor in the UWP History department. Dr. Brownson talks down to students & she will treat you like you're stupid. Overall, disrespectful prof. She acts like her class is the only thing going on in your life. If you bring incomplete discussion worksheets to class because you have questions for your group, you get an F.

She is a nice professor. Her weekly assignments are doable (sometimes I struggled only because I took two reading heavy classes; my own fault). The thing you want to take seriously are her two essays. She is very strict about: topic sentences, a CLEAR and ARGUABLE topic sentence, and organization. Her lecture days are not too difficult. Show up.

Don't take this class. You fail if you miss two weekly assignments. She acts like this is the only class you're taking for the entire semester. This is a gen ed;p not graduate school.

I loved this class! i learned so much about middle eastern history and it gives me an edge in other global classes. The professor was amazing.....the class moves fast because she is trying to cover 1400 years of history in 10 weeks. Take it if you can!

She is truly a wonderful professor. She is willing to get to know her students and willing to help them in any way possible. She loves the subject and it shines through her teaching

She is always in a great mood and her excitement for the material makes students grasp the material easier. Plus, she gets on a personal level with all of her students.

her powerpoint isn't all that helpful, but she's really knowledgeable on the subject. and her class isn't too hard. uses lots of colbert and jon stewart videos. she's also kind of hot.

she's good at teaching the subject, which makes it frustrating when she constantly tries to pull the class into discussion. the class moves a little slowly but it's not dry.
