Easy class if you try hard enough and go to HIS office hours.

really good teacher! homework is not mandatory, but it helps to do the book work. Only negative part is lectures are a little fast, it might help to print out lecture slides before. midterms and final very similar to practice tests he gives you. Also, he gives you a formula sheet with basically everything you need for all tests.

Clear, concise professor. Struggled with stats in high school, but Loux made things clear and easy to understand. Would highly recommend, extremely fair grader and very knowledgeable professor.

This class was tough. The midterm and final are worth the same, and weren't cumulative which was nice, yet the second half of the class was much harder than the first half. He curves the class at the end of the quarter which is nice. He's a nice guy, and helpful in office hours

I'm torn on how to rate this guy. One on hand he was friendly, and very willing to help...But the material was very scattered, and I did not feel well prepared for the tests at all, even after doing all of the homework multiple times. ADVICE: Print out all of his powerpoint lecture notes ahead of time - he does the solutions in class.

professor Loux seems like a really nice guy but I felt like the lectures and homework problems did not overlap much. Exams are reasonably fair but you have to really understand what youre doing to do well. Midterm is worth as much as the final and there is no curving so take the midterm just as seriously as the final.

Travis is a very good teacher. He teaches at a relatively well pace and his practice exams are super similar to his actual exams. He seems a little nervous sometimes and is rather cute. He definitely made a class I thought would be difficult actually not to bad.

Very clear professor who lectured very well on the subject. Stats is a dull thing to study in my opinion but Professor Loux did an amazing job of making it relatively painless and easy to understand. Just do the work and show up to class and you'll be fine. He is straight forward and not trying to trick you on the exams.

travis was not a good professor. he never actually taught anything- just went over defintions and an example or 2. gives a lot of hw and tests are hard. also very boring and tough to sit through

The way the class was taught was pretty scattered which made understanding difficult. Add this to the fact that he writes on the board about a mile a minute. He seems smart, but it's clear he's very inexperienced at teaching. From the looks of it, this was his first Upper Division class he ever taught. He should get better with time.

The way in which the course was taught was fairly disorganized. Lectures time was spent mostly on copying definitions and examples off the board with no real time set aside for true understanding of the material. This class is indeed intended to be tough, but the difficulty of this particular course was beyond my expectations.

Torn on how to rate this guy. He seems nice enough, but the class he taught was completely broken. No consistency between the homework and the lecture material, and no amount of preparation for those could arm you for the excruciating tests. PSTAT 120A isn't supposed to be easy, but he had the ability to be fair, and he didn't seem to take it.
