I calculated the reading to be ~2000 pages for a 10 week quarter. Unrealistic. Undoable

One of the most knowledgable professors I have taken at UCSB! Midterm and final in person and weren't super easy. Be sure to read the textbook, attend lectures, and take notes! Isn't an easy A but I feel like I learned so much from him! He is super funny too.

Mr. Ahuja was the sweetest and kindest man ever but the class was sometimes so boring. It's based heavily on readings, note-taking, and lectures so it can become redundant. But, he was so nice and the class/exams were straightforward. Highly doable, but a lot of studying.

The course can feel a bit disorganized at times, but the professor is fantastic. He's incredibly passionate about the subject, and his lectures are insightful.Your grade might depend on your TA, but overall, it's an easy class as long as you keep up with the readings and grasp the key concepts.

I was Professor Ahuja's research assistant for a quarter and received class credit. In my experience, he was very kind and seemed passionate about his work, but at the same time, was incredibly disorganized and vague about what his requirements for the work. He also offered me a job then never followed up on that which was interesting.

The class admittedly was a little disorganized at times but Ahuja is a great professor with lots of interesting perspectives. There are a lot of assigned readings per week so I'd recommend at least skimming the material each week so that you're prepared to engage in section, which required mandatory participation
